Sleeping Dogs

Early last summer, I spent three weeks as a production assistant (working with the art director mostly) on an independent film, Sleeping Dogs. I had a blast, worked hard, and eventually stopped waiting for its release. The director was sidetracked with another project, and it didn't make it to the Berlin Film Festival in January as planned.

And then today happened.

It will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival as a Contemporary World Cinema selection!!!!
Needleess to say, I am pumped. So if any of you are in the area in early September, come see my movie with me. I will tell you all about the fake vomit I made, the Vaseline I rubbed into the lead's head, the nurses' board I created, et c. I think I'm also in a scene, eating someone's half-eaten cheesecake at Kelsey's.

My name will finally be in the credits of a movie. I have no more goals. I can retire.

maybe... just maybe... it's time for another goal!
I think that's the way it is supposed to work... when you meet your goal, you set some new ones.
I thought the big goal was to have your name in the credits as a screen writer!?

good start... congratulations... but keep going...
...thus endeth dads encouragment & challenge

Hmm...another goal? I find it's easier to set goals after I reach them (that way they're never not reached).

Fine. I'll be a screenwriter. One of those "written by/ producer by/ directed by/ starring" openings that are so repetitive they're hilarious.

I'll be the next M. Night Shyamalan.

Well done - God has placed you nicely.

I suspect, though, you are still in playing 'T' ball in little league and he is going to place you as great in the big league of His Kingdom.

Goals are like walking - each is merely another step in Him. Happy Trails...and again well done (the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree either) Rogue RoG

RoG....what? I didn't get a word of that.

on your toes: I couldn't find this title in IMDB. So I'm forced to ask, how did this fulfill your goal?

A movie isn't a real movie until it's got a page in IMDB.

Yes, IMDB is the real success indicator. The director's there (Terrance Odette). I have every confidence that Sleeping Dogs will soon be there.

Believe me, when I'm on IMDB, I will have made it.
